Muscle MRI

At the end of November we were back in Dallas for Ainsley’s muscular MRI.

We advocated strongly for this after Ainsley’s OT and PT evals this summer continued to show multiple years of gaps between Ains and her peers with gross and fine motor. We were checking on the integrity of her muscules.

This was thankfully a lighter sedation so no full intubation. They whole procedure was 2.5 hrs because they needed multiple scans.

We had to remove her glitter nail polish...we missed that pre-procedure prep instruction:)!

A few days later we got the results, Ainsley’s muscles look good! This leads us to believe that her gaps are due to a condition called Development Coordination Disorder.  We are now trying to learn more about this. We’ve doubled her OT each week and are taking a pause from PT. We were thankful for the additional info to help us know how to help Ains.

Our strong girl!

Next up December!!
