Trick or Treating in the Halls!

Tonight we went to Baylor's Trick or Treating!
Each floor was a different theme!
We ate dinner in the halls with some friends and then we were off for fun!
LOTS of candy!
The students were SO sweet!
Ainsley's favorite character, Disgust from Inside Out, she is a resident Chaplin at Baylor and Ains has pictures with her at Disney because she played one of the evil step sisters at a Cinderella dinner at Disney-small world!

Picture day!

Ryan texted me yesterday morning at work and shared it was picture day--we TOTALLY forgot and he was reminded of picture day as soon as he walked in and saw the other kids.  This is what Ains was wearing on picture day--the LARGEST Inside Out disgust bow (because that's her favorite character)!  Well...we will never forget her 5 year old school picture and what movie was popular at the time :)!

This was Ainsley before school today.  I wanted to get a picture of her in her new fall outfit and she was so disgusted by Sugar's cat food smell!  Sugar of course LOVES canned cat food--but it makes Ainsley so grossed out!  Normally Sugar scarfs it down, but today she was taking her time eating :)!

Ainsley smelled her fruit loops and was back to her happy self!

The Pioneer Woman & the call

Ainsley had a friend over last night for dinner-so we picked up some pizzas after work quickly and rushed home.  Ainsley also picked out this fun orange chocolate chip cookie dough that she wanted to hold the whole way home!  As we were leaving the store she said, "I feel like the Pioneer Woman"!  I'm sure The Pioneer Woman does cook ready made pizzas every now and then--I'm sure she'd approve :)!

Last week on Wednesday, Ainsley's neuromuscular doctor called and let us know he had the results in hand of her genetic test (this was the test we did in May 2015). He said in the voicemail that he can clearly explain the reason for her thyroid condition and the CPK (muscle issues) weren't as clear--so he was going to have to dive into the results a bit more.  He shared he'd try to call me again and explain more.  I was THRILLED that he was going to talk to us over the phone.  I left him another message on Thursday and said please call back anytime...the days passed and I finally heard from him Tuesday afternoon...

He left another voicemail because he called toward the end of the day when I was in a meeting.  He said that he thought it was best if we kept the appointment in early November and meet with him in person to fully go over the results.  So we will plan to travel to Houston in early November and connect with her neuromuscular doctor and dig into the results.

We are anxious about the results.  LOTS of questions trying to determine what this could mean...but we are going to try to remain in the present day enjoying life and not worry until we need to.

Ains is looking forward to our Houston trip because there will of course be lots of fun places to eat and parks to play in--so THAT is what we will focus on for now!

Last week Ains had fun using several of her friend b-day gifts!  She loved this tiara gift set!  She got to craft her very own tiara--she loved that!

Other things that Ainsley loves...eating on campus.  She was practically running to the dining hall after school one day!  We have to limit her to a couple of times a week!

Thursday afternoon we show up for speech at 4:15 pm and Ains immediately sits down on the stairs and says "we messed up".  "I can't go in there, I'm in trouble".  She realized what I realized as soon as we saw the building, it was the fall carnival and we forgot to dress her up!!  Thankfully the director of the program was at the door and she quickly said, don't worry we've got just the costume for her!  Ainsley came back from speech 45 minutes later and her wonderful speech teacher (Ms. Amanda) had dressed her up!  So thankful for loving teachers!

Fall carnival fun!

Friday night fun!  We always try to make Friday nights family fun nights!  We let Ainsley pick dinner and she wanted Newks!

She loves their pizza and greek salad and cherry coke!  We let her have a little bit of cherry coke and she thinks that is the best thing ever!

Testing out the Halloween costume!

Sweet girl!  She got the fall flower and added that herself!

Saturday fun!

Never a dull moment!

Sugar is loving life at the Cohenours!

Sunday night family walk or fly!

Sunday night we worked on Ainsley's thank you cards!  She made a special drawing for each of her friends.  She took special care to draw something each of her friends liked!
