1st Mani, Uncle Si & Grammie/Papa Visit

Thursday night I wanted to do something special with Ainsley so I thought we'd get our nails done!

Ainsley insisted on yellow nail polish!  She kept saying, "that tickles" when she was getting her nails filed.  We only ended up doing Ainsley's nails because she was moving so much.  Her thumb nail had to be redone 3 times--I kept telling the lady doing her nails "it looks great"! I think we'll try this again in a year when Ainsley isn't always on the go :)!

We already had a nail casualty the next morning.  Being a two year old (almost 3) is rough on the nails with all of that play!

We always try to do something special on Friday after school.  This past Friday I put two starburst and a play ring in an envelope for Ainsley.  You would have thought it was a $20 bill--she was thrilled!  I think we'll keep this fun tradition going.

Some how Ainlsey has the Duck Dynasty bug.  She LOVES these guys!  She knows "Willie" and "Si" by name.

Si is her favorite.  When we ask her what tv shows she wants to watch its either "watch Si" or "Minnie Mouse".

The other night I went to check on Ainsley and she was in bed "reading" her children's bible.  She likes us to read her a couple of bible stories each night along with her other children's books.  Too sweet.

Last night we went to Saturday night church at the new Grace Community Iowa City campus (which was a great message) and then we went to the free movie on campus.  The cheer squad was going to perform before they showed Monsters, Inc.  Perfect for Ainsley!  We got there and the fencing club was performing....the cheerleaders were moved to next week...so we'll bring Ainsley back to see them.  Ainsley did get to practive fencing with a foam fencing stick and she loved it.  It was a perfect night for an outdoor movie--we got ice cream and had a great night out!

Today Ryan's mom and dad came up to visit!  Ryan's dad had to take off after a couple of hours since he has to work this week, but his mom (Linda) will be with us all week.  It will be a BIG help having her here since this is a busy, busy week for Ryan and I since the students arrive back on campus!

Ainsley was SO excited to see them today!

She loves her Grammie and Papa Larry!
