Build-a-Bear

Ainsley is taking a LONG nap after all of the excitement of the day--so I thought I would take advantage of the time and post our trip today!

I read recently on a blog that Build-a-Bear has hearing aids for bears so when my family was in town we stopped by BaB and asked if they could order Ainsley a pair! They called Friday and said they were in and they ordered a BIG shipment in case other kids needed them!

Off to Build-a-Bear we go!

It was a first for all three of us!

What a great dad! Ryan was a big help! One of the true joys of being a dad to a little girl!

Hello new friend--we called her "Gracie" on her bear-certificate.
I guess I was pretty happy about the bear too!
We then had to dress the bear! We picked out a cute set of jammies because they were soft! We were a bit overwhelmed by all of the choices!
A sweet lady helped to attach the hearing aids. Her sister had a profound hearing loss back in the 50s, so when she learned Ainsley had a hearing loss she just lit up with a huge smile...which threw me at first. But, she then explained they didn't find her sister's hearing loss until she was in the second grade. So she was thrilled that Ainsley was getting the help that she needed now. Isn't God good about putting folks in our daily paths to encourage us and to care for us!

We are grateful for Ainsley's new bear friend and all ready to get Ainsley's hearing aids on August 23rd!
