Leap of Faith: Baylor University

In the spring of 2008 Ryan and I moved to Iowa City, IA to begin work at the University of Iowa.  This picture was taken shortly after we moved to IA.  We were a scared and uncertain about finding friends and calling this new place "home".  Fast forward 5-6 years to today and Iowa is our HOME.  We are thankful to have good friends and wonderful colleagues!  We have been sharing with our friends, family and colleagues over the past 24 hours that we have decided to take a leap of faith and move to Baylor University!  EEK!!  Ryan starts his new job in mid-May at Baylor!  I am hoping to find a good fit there as well and am encouraged by some good leads!

We didn't make this decision lightly!  We actually lost a lot of sleep over this decision which is why I thought this picture was a good fit (Ryan may not agree:). We have had SO many conversations about this move.  Sought advice from many people and late Tuesday afternoon we decided to "leap".  One of our main concerns was about Ainsley's health and many of her doctors have already given us referrals so we couldn't be more thankful!

There are about 1000 things that I will miss about Iowa!  Mainly being close to our family, the many friends we've made here, and wearing my black/gold wardrobe daily (HA)!

We look forward to relishing every moment of the next five weeks before we move to Texas to start our new home there!

We will miss the seasons!

And the corn!

Ainsley's wonderful doctors and all of the Hawkeye pride!

Most of all we will miss family and friends who have made our time at Iowa so much fun and special!

Here's to the Cohenours next adventure!
