Rain

It seems like with Ainsley's medical concerns when it rains it pours.  We are in another "rainy season".  I was walking on campus the other day and it was raining--I looked over an saw this beautiful gem in the midst of the rain.  Thankfully that is what we are trying to do these days, focus on the positives as there are many things to be thankful for!

I met some girlfriends from church at the local winery for dinner Wednesday night.  It was simply a beautiful night.  One of my friends just got back from a medical trip to Haiti.  It was amazing to hear the way God used the team to care for many people in Haiti.  I was reminded how lucky I am as a mom to have such great health care for my Ainsley right here in our community.

One of my favorite quotes is, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain".

Ainsley's repeat hearing test on Thursday confirmed that she has a mild loss in both ears. They also discovered he has an air bone loss in her left ear. We meet with her audiologist and ENT at the end of the months for next steps.

On Tuesday morning we meet with her neuromuscular doctor; we are the most anxious about this appointment.

I am hoping and praying that the doctor takes time with Ainsley to fully explore her muscle development. This is the same doctor that released Ainsley from her care in May. The Physical Therapist that works with this doctor paged her at our last visit in mid-October and said she wanted Ains re-evaluated due to the concerns she saw.

The Director of Ainsley's daycare emailed us last week and shared, "Oh what a gift your little girl is. I picked her up off the bus today. She gave me the biggest smile and was so happy. She jumped in puddles on the way back and had a hoot. Love that little girl." This made my heart so happy!

Our sweet girl is strong and we are hoping for good news on Tuesday!
