Field Trip!!

Wednesday I was able to help with Ainsley's field trip to the Brazos river!
Ainsley's teachers (Miss Anna & Miss Lenita) had everything coordinated so well!  Each child got a backpack full of goodies for the river.  A bag of rocks to throw in the river, markers and paper to draw, bubbles, bread for the ducks, carrots for the bunnies...these were all things that the kids brainstormed they may need when they visited the river!
First we checked out the suspension bridge!
Notice Ainsley's classmates are checking out the river and Ainsley has a plan...
jumping and having fun!
Time to draw--Miss Anna let each child pick out their special spot to draw!  Ainsley chose by the fountain!

Time for pictures...or as the kids were calling it "research".  They each got a camera and got to document their trip!  Ainsley loved this!

We had SO much fun!
Time to feed the ducks!  As we were walking down the stairs there were two Waco Police Officers on the stairs (one man and one woman).  Ainsley said (really loud), "look a GIRL police officer?!?!".  They had two Baylor Police Officers visit their school last week and they all got to sit in their police car...but both of those officers were men, so in Ainsley's mind all police officers were men.  Thankfully she met a female officer today :)!
Back to the hungry ducks!

I was hovering over Ains the whole time we were right by the river...she is fearless!
Lunch time!  The kids helped yesterday to prep all of the food.  They had mini pizzas, carrots and brownies!
Bubbles and then back to school!  I am SO thankful that I got to experience this field trip with Ainsley and her class and I am also SO thankful for the loving and encouraging staff at Piper Child Development Lab at Baylor University!!
